On February 2, 2026, at the Social Services Complex for Children and Families managed by Equilibrium, we held a focus group with nine children who use the services of the Center for Working with Street Children (CWSC).
The meeting was dedicated to the most important thing – the voice of the children. Through games, teamwork, and group discussions, they shared what the services give them, what makes them happy, and what they would like to see developed further.
What is useful for them?
The children pointed out: help with learning and homework, consultations, new knowledge, sports, walks, visits to different places, excursions, and the opportunity to spend time together.
What would they change?
Most of them answered categorically:
– “We wouldn’t change anything, everything is useful to us.”
What are their favorite moments?
Games in the hall, swimming pool, sports, cooking classes, special interest clubs, excursions, and time outside with friends.
And what does the Complex mean to them?
The answers that touched us the most were:
“A place where we learn many things.”
“To value and help each other.”
“A very important place for me.”
“Like home.”
“My second family.”
“Here I learned to read and write.”
The children expressed their trust and gratitude to the team that supports them in their learning, difficulties, and daily challenges.
The focus group clearly showed us that when children feel safe, accepted, and encouraged, they grow up confident, motivated, and dare to dream big.
We thank all the children for their openness and courage to share their opinions! Their voices help us make our services even better.
