The Equilibrium Association has launched hippotherapy activities for young people with intellectual disabilities supported through the family-type residential centers “Hope”, “Love”, and “The Pink House”.

This initiative has become possible through a partnership agreement with Easter Equestrian Center in Ruse, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude.

Hippotherapy is a proven approach that supports the physical, emotional, and social development of children with disabilities. Through the movement of the horse and carefully designed therapeutic activities, balance, coordination, muscle tone, and motor skills are enhanced. Beyond the physical benefits, these activities help improve children’s self-confidence, concentration, and communication skills. Interaction with horses fosters confidence, calmness, and motivation, supporting their overall development and social inclusion.

Today marked the first steps in this journey, as Andy, Petyo, and Svetlyo had the opportunity to meet the horses up close and experience riding for the first time, bringing them joy and excitement.

Their smiles never faded, and their emotions were genuine and heartfelt.
