We are happy and proud to share that the children from the Day Centre for Children and Youth with Disabilities “Slancho” took part in the “Guide to Goodness” festival – a forum for presenting good social practices, held in Razgrad on June 20 and 21, 2025. The event brought together representatives of social services from all over the country, with 52 social services offering care and support for children, youth, and adults participating in the competition program.
On the first day of the festival, the children from “Slancho” actively participated in the three main panels – Drawing, Concert, and Bazaar. With great emotion and inspiration, they presented their skills, talent, and imagination. Their musical performance moved both the jury and the audience, and the result was not long in coming – the children won first place in the category “Children and Young People from Social Services in the Community” and were awarded a certificate and a statuette.
On the second day of the festival, during the panel “Presentation of Effective Social Models,” the children of ‘Slancho’ won third place in the category “Community Social Services for Children and Youth.”
These awards are not only recognition of the efforts of the children and the social service team, but also proof that when a child is supported with love, patience, and professionalism, they can reach their full potential.
The “Guide to Goodness” festival reminded us once again that goodness has many faces—and one of the brightest is a child’s smile.
