Training on the topic “Human Management” was conducted by the Equilibrium management for the team of social services that the organization manages. The training took place over the courseof two days and contained elements of team building.
The services that the organization manages present constant challenges and, despite the long experience of those who manager the various deparments, there is a need for reflection on personal and group performance. This skill development coincides with the requirements of the new ordinance on the quality of social services.
Through the prism of a variety of theories about managing people and processes, current challenges for managers were reviewed. These include recruitment difficulties linked to the poor profile of the social sector and the fact that young graduates do not know what to expect when entering the sphere of social work which has long tended to be under-resourced.
It is important for those in leadership positions to regularly return to the themes of mentoring and motivating.
