Angels of Bulgaria, a charity, founded by Bulgarians living in the UK, donated 8300 BGN to Equilibrium. The purpose of the donation is to help needy families especially in the days before the bright Christmas holidays.
We distributed the money after analyzing the needs of each family. Many were users of the organization’s social services in Ruse and Byala but some families were simply seeking support. With 3000 BGN, food products were purchased for 50 families. 2,500 BGN was spent on drugs provided to 50 families. A combination of food and drugs was provided to an additional 17 families. Bab food and diapers costing 2800 BGN have been distributed to 30 families.
