In April 2018 the “Kids Voice” project of “Equilibrium” began. It is financially supported by the Operational Program “Human Resources Development” and implemented by the “Equilibrium” NGO.
The activities include children and parents of Roma origin living in “Sredna kula” district, Ruse. Part of the target group activities are two clubs: “Toys library” and “I was a child”. They are 20 children and 30 parents. Also there are focus groups and motivational interviews, held on a monthly basis with the parents.
On 1st of June 2018 the project team organizes a joyous feast with children and mothers involved in different project activities. The summer theme was dedicated to the family. Roma children and mothers participated in the festive program and together sang children’s songs, recited poems, danced and played fun games. Babies aged 3 to 5 showed their talents – colorful, shiny and rich in emotions. You could see and hear waves of joy and childish laughter at the open stage of the “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” community center in “Sredna Kula” district, which contributed to the realization of the project activities.
At the end of the festive day, children and mothers deserved to have some treats, cake, candy and juice. Every child, who participated, received a gift – a children’s drawing book.
