Role of the organisation: a contractor in partnership with “Zora” kindergarten and CFC “Dragons”, Ruse
Expected results:
- Hosting of a sports festival – a football training demonstration with the participation of the kids with special needs from “Zora” kindergarten and kids from the other groups of the kindergarten.
- The children with special needs to be encouraged to have contact with the ball and to participate in the activities under the guidance of the coaches and the psychologists from Equilibrium.
Specific goals: Support the children with special needs from “Zora” kindergarten to take part, according to their potentials, in the football trainings and help them encounter positive emotions connected to action and sports activities.
Results: A sports festival with football training was held, in which children from “Zora” kindergarten took part. The training was led by 10 coaches from CFC “Dragons”. 3 psychologists from Equilibrium. And educators from “Zora” helped the children with special needs. The participants included 20 children (age 3-7) from the kindergarten (including those with special needs) and 20 children from the fourth group. Venue: – the sports hall of “Zora” kindergarten. The coaches, together with the kids from the fourth group of the kindergarten, demonstrated exercises for warming up, as well as football skills. The children with special needs participated in the demonstration and they were given the opportunity to have contact with the ball and take part in the physical activity under the guidance of the coaches and the psychologists. The young players were delighted by the medals and sweets they were given for their participation. The children with special needs from “Zora” kindergarten were supported to participate, according to their level of capability in the football trainings and also to encounter new positive emotions connected to action and sports activities.
