On 15.11.2018, by invitation of the National Alliance for Social Responsibility and Targovishte Municipality, Galya Bisset and Nadya Petrova took part in a national conference ‘’Innovations in community-based social work: modern therapeutic and capacity building methods and approaches.”

Under the banner “Guaranteeing a Happy Childhood”, the State Agency for Child Protection ran a competition by asking municipal authorities to nominate organisations that work with children for the outstanding quality of their work.
Nominations could be made under three categories – Innovation, Successful Change and Sustainable Development. To make matters confusing, Equilibrium was nominated twice. On November 14th, experts from “Equilibrium” presented the project “Kids voice”, funded by the OP “Human Resources Development”, Priority Axis “Transnational Cooperation” in Veliko Tarnovo.

The Day of National Leaders was celebrated at the “Children from the Street” Center at the Social Services Complex. A series of educational activities were prepared for the children.
Through a multimedia presentation and a following discussion, they recalled and learned new things about the National Leaders of Bulgaria. On the 31st of October 2018 United Children’s Services “Slancho” – Ruse organized a super crazy and creepy Halloween party with lots of games, entertainment, dancing and surprises!
All the children were greeted by the beautiful but fearful “Zlodeida”, calling together spirits and goblins. The scary – funny party was supported by our supportive friends – an animation team of Club “The Wonderful”, “Millennium” and UBB Bank.
How do we compare the opportunities of children with different potential? How do senses help in order to unveil the strengths of vulnerable groups? What happens when you close your eyes and let your senses lead you?
