The boys and girls from the two small-group homes became sea explorers for two weeks during summer camp in Tyulenovo.
The children discovered new sensations and experiences on the welcoming beach between Tyulenovo and Shabla.
The hot sand, the waves, the grass, the smell and taste of the salty water created a whole new world, full of new sensory stimuli, emotions, and challenges for the kids.

Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation – Pomorie
The children and young adults from the Pink house enjoyed the seaside in the holiday resort of Pomorie. The vacation was full of positive emotions and interesting events. Six teenagers from the family-type group home in Byala took part in a sports-adventure team building together with members of Equilibrium.
The children, who are between 13 and 16 years old, were removed from residential institutions last year. Since July 1st, 2016 the service and the new Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration in Byala has been managed by Equilibrium.

This year the celebration marking the closure of the summer programme at the complex was held in a small circle, namely the kids from the CSC, their parents and the facilitators of the workshops.
The atmosphere was joyful and hearty, and smiles shone on everybody’s faces. The verticalizer was provided thanks to the campaign, organized by Hearts without Borders Foundation, with a chairman Diana Poptoneva, and Equilibrium. The verticalizer is available to all children and young adults with movement disorders – CP (cerebral palsy) and muscle weakness – who can come, accompanied by their therapist, to the rehabilitation room in the Pink house at 66 “Neofit Rilski” Str.

For a number of years, Equilibrium has had a strong working relationship with Dreams and Teams from Gabrovo.
On 5th and 6th September, the Gabrovo organisation hosted a conference on the subject of education. The focus was on alternatives to standard practice in the classroom. The young adults with disabilities from the small-group home “Love” had a one-week green adventure.
They had the chance to enjoy the silence, serenity and fresh air of the forest park. The youngsters conquered the paths as real tourists and played freely. Such experiences have a great influence on their overall condition – physical, psychological and emotional. The activities in the open positively affect the children’s

The project focuses on Positive Parenting and prevention of aggression among or directed towards very young children. To celebrate completion of the second phase we brought together children, kindergarten staff, mums and dads in the two facilities in which we piloted the project – Pinocchio and Mermaid,

On 18th July 2016 in the regional library “Ljuben Karavelov” there was a photo exhibition with pictures, taken by the young people who participated in the campaign for prevention of early marriages, undertaken by Equilibrium in the neighbourhoods Selemetya, Traksia and Sredna Kula.
