In August 2021, Ruse Municipality launched the Project “Integrated Measures for Social and Educational Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups on the territory of Ruse Municipality” in partnership with Equalibrium Association, Kindergartens, University Hospital, Center Dynamics Association, Association “Development of Social Capital” and others. The project develops the so-called soft measures complementary to the functioning of the first component of the development of new social housi in the municipality of Ruse.
On 11.11.2021, volunteers from the Youth Parliament to the Municipal Youth House – Ruse and their leaders performed a cheerful ceremony in the courtyard of the Social Services Complex. They had all devoted time and effort to obtain and deliver winter clothes and shoes for their less fortunate peers who are clients of social services.
The conditions created by the pandemic make this gesture all the more necessary and invaluable, especially for children who live in poverty.

Our ‘’Sustainable Families 2” project was funded by the Iris programme that supports projects of civil society, community centres and initiative groups to help vulnerable children and their families whose lives are made worse by COVID 19.
The programme was established on the initiative of a Bulgarian donor forum, a National Children’s Network and the Workshop for Civic Initiatives and is managed by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
After participating in the “School without Walls” on “Outdoor Training”, under the Erasmus + programme, Gabriela Ivanova, a human rights student and Gabriela Stoyanova, a student of business administration, applied the acquired knowledge by organizing an outdoor session for the children from the centre for street children.
