A wonderful fertility celebration day reminded everyone that Christmas is coming.

At the end of June, 2016 Equilibrium took over the administration of two services in Byala – the centre for social rehabilitation and integration and the centre for family type accommodation for children and young adults. There is a reason why we use the symbol of a “ white swallow” as the logo as they are the first social services for children in Byala municipality.

Two psychologists from Equilibrium, Nadejda Petrova and Ivaylo Minkov, started the programme for positive parenting with three consecutive training sessions for parents of children from 4th grade in “Stadiona” kindergarten in Byala.
The parents that took part in the interactive sessions worked hard and were involved in different practical exercises and work-groups. The children from the Byala small-group home and young clients of the centre for social rehabilitation and integration made martenichki and helped run a charity bazaar in the town square..
The result is more than great – 1078 leva was raised to support Equilibrium’s work with children and families.

Rasim from the family-type home for children in Byala and Raya – a volunteer, accompanied by Aleksandar Panayotov, took part in the autumn children’s rights school in Sofia from 16th to 21st September. This was the first of a series of initiatives which are pursued for young children throughout the country under Megaphone programme in which Equilibrium is participating.

Six teenagers from the family-type group home in Byala took part in a sports-adventure team building together with members of Equilibrium.
The children, who are between 13 and 16 years old, were removed from residential institutions last year. Since July 1st, 2016 the service and the new Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration in Byala has been managed by Equilibrium.
